British Baker is galvanising the nation and its bakers to vie for the best cupcake in the country. Also involved are independent bakers and cafes, and Marks & Spencer and Waitrose are behind this week with promotional support.
There is also a windows display competition for cafes and bakeries.
Also during the week, the winners of the cupcake-off will be media stars for every day of this coming week.
